TEMECULA: Search warrant leads to two arrests for numerous charges
TEMECULA – A search warrant served at a Temecula motel on Thursday Dec. 24, 2015, led to the arrest of two suspects for numerous charges related to burglaries that were reportedly committed throughout the city of Temecula during the final months 2015.
According to a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Sergeant Spivacke wrote that deputies from the Temecula Police Station served felony warrant at about 2:30 a.m. in the morning.
Upon serving the warrant, deputies located Joseph Roybal, 24, and Asia Sanderford, 20, both residents of Murrieta. Roybal and Sanderford both had felony warrants for their arrest.
During the service of the search warrant, deputies located several items they suspected might be stolen property. Upon further investigation and closer inspection, deputies found that serial numbers from several of the items inside the motel matched property which had previously been reported stolen.
Deputies subsequently arrested both Roybal and Sanderford for their warrants.
Both suspects were transported back to the Southwest Station to allow investigators to conduct a follow-up investigation regarding the possible stolen property.
During their subsequent investigation, investigators learned Roybal and Sanderford were involved in numerous burglaries throughout the city of Temecula. The reported burglaries occurred during the months of Nov. and Dec. 2015, at office buildings in the city of Temecula.
“The burglaries occurred at office buildings with numerous suites inside them as well as stand-alone commercial buildings,” Sergeant Spivacke wrote.
Roybal and Sanderford were both booked at the Southwest Station for their warrants as well as multiple counts of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy.
